Apparently one of their main motivations is that they are "...keen to sample beaver meat."
Now, perhaps I just have an insanely dirty mind, but I can't quite believe the Times published this with an apparent lack of irony.

Thing is, it seems that the møøse are getting more elusive, either because they've developed extra cunning, or because they're dying out.
So there'll have to be something else to hunt in winter. And why not a cute, furry little beaver?
