I think it was Chris who noticed the appearance of the zonetag tag on Flickr the other day, but now it appears to have grown an official site.
It looks somewhat similar to Merkitys-Meaning, as mentioned here earlier, in that it's a Series 60 based Flickr photo uploader with automatic adding of metadata.
It doesn't seem to include as much about the local Bluetooth environment, but it does include cell information, and it's already got to the point where it's acheived a cluster.
From which we can tell that, yes, it really does come from Yahoo in Berkeley.
if you use ZoneTag with a Bluetooth GPS device, the GPS coordinates of the photo will be uploaded as well as the cell ID
Spotted in the FAQ. That's nice.
we are able to learn the correct location of the cell ID if users update their Flickr photos with zip code or city tags. If even one user updates their Flickr photo with the zip or city tag, we will be able to learn it
Also looks quite nice.

edd at the daily chump notices something I didn't; Zonetag is US only.
Oh dear. If I did have a Series 60 phone, which I don't, I'd be using Meaning-Myrkyrts, despite being unable to spell it.
We hate you all. Yes, especially you. Sod off and DIE
