In the last couple of weeks I've been making a little bit of a renewed effort to turn up at various London web industry events.
I managed one last week and another this week, and I thought I was doing pretty well.
Turns out that I'm missing a Python meetup, Google open source evening and MiniBar, and I also missed the not-free Beers and Innovation yesterday.
The Google event is particularly interesting, since, like the forthcoming Backstage-sponsored Christmas event, it was first-come-first-served and filled within hours.
I've wondered elsewhere if that's a particularly fair way to choose people to visit an event, or whether it rewards those who are (too?) wedded to email clients and RSS aggregators.
Anyway, isn't this all getting a bit, well, bubbly?
