Your: pron. & a. The form of the possessive case of the personal pronoun you.


 

You're: contraction of you are


 

This is your book.


 

You're a moron.


 

Never 'this is you're book' or 'your a moron'.


 

Of course, ten year olds should be able to get this right. Plenty of people online seem to have difficulty, though; either temporary brainos or, more scarily, a consistent problem. Sigh.
