it all fell into the 'distributing $personal_content' part of my brain whcih, over the past 6 months seems to have taken in everything from RSS to NNTP and a host of other acronyms

There's a part of me that wants to use different tools for different things, and there's a part that would quite like to use just one tool to do everything. But my mail reader is useless for following threaded usenet discussions anyway.


 

And there are no good news readers for OS X.

He's right. I own agent, and it's the best damn news reader (and one of the best mail readers) I've ever used.


 

Personal fave feature- you can click on the postids, and it'll display that message if it knows about it. How cool is that? How hard to do? Very. Not very. Does any one else do it? Bah.


 

I think I mean messageids there.


 

Wow, that evildave thread there pointed me at MT-NewsWatcher which is the best damn Mac OS newsreader I've seen yet. It feels like something blech might approve of.

The two times a year I do nntp, I use MT-NewsWatcher, yes.
