Two tourist routes will run the lovely old buses.
...which probably means they'll be hell to ride on. But at least one can head down to Trafalgar Square and see them zipping past.
But Upper Street won't be the same once all the route 38 Routemasters are phased out.
A Routemaster, Yesterday

blech:
Yes, the route details were in the Stannard yesterday. Sadly, they're rubbish only useful for tourists, really.
The article doesn't say it, but they're portions of routes 9 (currently Aldwych to Hammersmith, instead termininating before getting to High Street Kensington) and the 15 (currently Paddington to Blackwall, cut down to Piccadilly to Tower Hill).
I must say, the change of the 19 from a Routemaster hasn't been that bad, but that's because it's still a double decker. It's bendy buses that really get my goat, and apparently that's what's in store for the 38. Boo.
At least I know what I'll be doing on the 22nd July now. Maybe.
We hate you all. Yes, especially you. Sod off and DIE
