Just in time to cash in on the December 1st "don't talk on your mobile while driving" fines, Orange and Smart are doing a special edition car.

The gimmick is that it has an in-built bluetooth subsystem, which diverts all call traffic through the hi-fi, and allows you to initiate calls with voice commands.

We have seen similar things before, but this is a production model. All be it a 100-vehicle run.

blech:

I prefer the smaller Bluetooth cars.

The:

you could probably get as much shopping in a radio controlled car

Talking of cars you couldn't get much shopping in, the Ford GT is so sexy it can make grown men weep.

Sod an in-car Bluetooth system. I'll just take one of those.

blech:

I saw a radio controlled car with polystyrene over the top of it at the weekend.

A teenager was driving it in front of him down a pavement.

It didn't have shopping on top, but it could have carried a loaf of bread, I suppose.
