Permanent links that aren't.
For some reason that tedious A-list bicycle in-joke came along, so I wound up looking at this old Metafilter page.
All four of those links point to sites that are still active, but all four are 404s, failing to find the content linked to.
I know commercial sites have terrible link attrition too, but some people care enough to make their URLs persist, and behave like good web citizens.
Shame that others, er, don't.
Don't mind me, I'm having a bit of a grump.
